Hello :)!
Well labor day is officially over, but we're still laboring! Its been a while since my last post and we've been busy busy over here.
Our Master Bath is nearly complete! After living through the demolition and the mess, this room is finally taking shape! We are currently refinishing the vintage steel window in the room and replacing the glass panes, so until I can show you photos of a thoroughly "clean" and beautiful space, I thought I would share with you some of the fixtures and finishes we chose.
Here we go:
The Boyce Freestanding Tub: It fits snugly into a small alcove in the room with a vintage chandelier hanging overhead. I liked it for its soft lines.
Bottocino Tumbled Marble- We chose the 12 x 12 squares for the floor, 6 x 12 subway style pattern for the shower and a 16 x 16 tile was used on a small counter top. This tile is simply gorgeous- and when it meets with the old world style plaster, transforms into pure rustic elegance!
Kohler "Purist" wall mounted faucets in a brushed nickel finish- I say they are "pure" heaven!
Duravit Trough Sink- We mounted this sink like a farmhouse sink in a plastered surround with the two wall mounted fixtures above. Fortunately, Tom doesn't shy away from the challenges often associated with some of my design suggestions :), and this was one of them. He worked it out and we both love how it turned out!
and while we are putting the finishing touches on this master bath, we have new wood floors scheduled to be installed throughout the house next week. Provenza Sabatini is a 7 inch wood plank floor and once installed will tie all the colors and rustic finishes inside this home together. I can hardly wait :)!
I will be back soon with lots of photos to share :)!
Cheers!!
